 "Bringing Common Sense Back" 2009-07-07
By Steve Skye (Phoenix)
I find Glenn Beck to be the most interesting of all political commentators, he speaks of principles with clarity and passion like no one else. The fact that he is self educated is a great asset to his constitutional and historic understanding of the founding of this country. He is without the radicalized, elitist views that often passes as enlightened wisdom by those in government and media. I always look forward to his refreshing opinions about the proper and limited role of government and as a result I have become anxious to participate in activism to make this a reality. I would recommend this book to anyone who feels the same.

It is my hope that as the popularity of Glenn Beck continues to rise, his message of the moral superiority of freedom will become the zeitgeist, causing a major change in what is considered common sense government.

"Common Sense - Glenn Beck" 2009-07-07
By Gordon G. Repsher Jr.
I just finished the unabridged audio book and I do not think I would recommend that you read the book. However, I would STRONGLY recommend that you get the audio version because as it is read by Mr. Beck it is so much better. I believe that the full impact of his passion on the issues we face today is lost in the written word, and so much more powerful with the spoken word. It also comes with a recording of the original book by Thomas Paine, and it's well worth the few extra dollars to have something that I can listen to in the car or when I'm out for a walk. Do yourself and your friends a favor and buy this in your prefered media, audio or paperback, and help spread the word.

 "Need to Read" 2009-07-06
By Emily Swan (Salt Lake City, UT)
This book is a "need to read" for ALL Americans. I consider myself an informed consumer of current events and politics. I listen to all the news channels to hear all sides, read many points of view and try to remain open minded as I watch what is happening in Washington. Nevertheless, the spending and far reaching arm of the government becoming more involved in my daily life concerns me greatly. I am a capitalist!! I see violations of the constitution all the time while our leaders do things in the dark of night. I read this book with an open mind and found it fascinating. The issues presented in this book should be concerns for all of us trying to live in a REPUBLIC! Our leaders in both parties have lost their common sense for sure! As citizens, let's not lose ours!

"The Thomas Paine part is great" 2009-07-06
By Mahatma Kane Jeeves (Virginia, USA)

"Admittedly, Common Sense is merely a good book and no Liberty and Tyranny: A Conservative Manifesto. Unlike the latter it will not be a work that is regarded as a classic 50 years from now. Beck's offering is very much a response to the pathology that is the present and is more pep talk than intellectual dreadnaught."

 "Glenn Beck nails this" 2009-07-06
By K. Kirkland (United States)
Instead of listening to anyone else, Glenn educated himself on the history of our country and how our founders created America. He has brilliantly outlined the problems with our entire government (this is NOT a partisan book). Both of our political parties have created a huge mess, and this is the best description of that mess I've ever seen.

And the solution was created over 200 years ago by our founders. We have just drifted away...far away...from the original plan. If this book doesn't educate you and motivate you, I don't think anything will.
